How to link a client's website to their Google Business Profile.
Part of an optimized Google profile includes linking it to a well functioning, optimized website. We want to show Google that our Google page and our website are connected, and we do so by adding a link to the GBP on their website.
The 2 best ways to do this are:
- An embedded link on the clients contact us page (or location specific landing page).
- Instructions on how to embed a Google Map Profile: https://blog.hubspot.com/website/how-to-embed-google-map-in-html
2 . A G icon in their header or footer, next to their other social media icons.
- The process to do this depends on the website provider the client works with. You will need to do research on your own, but a simple search like "how to add an icon to website footer using ____ (wordpress, wix, etc)" should provide a blog with step by step instructions.
