How to create a sitemap in Miro

Sitemaps are graphical representations of website layouts. They help us easily keep track of website pages and how they link to each other. This article demonstrates how to create sitemaps in Miro, an online software.

Instructions:

  1. Navigate to Miro.
  2. Sign in using information from the “Resources 2024” Google Drive sheet.
  3. Click on “Blank board.”
  4. Using the shapes panel on the left side of the screen, create a rectangle. Name this rectangle “Home Page”. This should represent the home page of the client website.
  5. Navigate around the client website. Pay attention to the tabs at the top of the page and any internal links.
  6. Similar to the example image below, outline the client website using more rectangles and connecting lines. If using arrows, they should demonstrate the flow of traffic. Arrow configurations can be set up in Miro.
  7. Remember: The purpose of this assignment is to develop a better understanding of the client’s website and identify any areas for improvement. A meticulous sitemap is better than a minimalist one.
