How to give a Green House tour

Give Green House tours to new-hires, curious students, or clients visiting our office.

Introduction/Welcome (Olivia) - 5 min.

  • Welcome them to Green House Sales & Marketing
  • Give the high-level elevator pitch
    • Green House is a student-run digital marketing agency where students are able to enhance their skills while also gaining real world experience. The agency is led by active industry professionals, including our executive director and founder, director, and 5 consultants. The directors manage the day-to-day strategy and operations, and our consultants assist in developing our products and mentoring students to ensure client work is top quality and following digital marketing best practices. We offer a number of marketing services from SEO to reputation management to social media management to paid media strategy, and more. Through our expertise, we cultivate brands into thriving online entities. We're not just learning; we're making a real impact, nurturing client success and gaining practical experience that transfers to the real world.
  • Introduce yourselves (name, role, and how long you've been at Green House)
  • Explain the structure of the tour
  • 50% will go on the first tour, 50% will remain in Green House to review our product offering/services
  • Separate into groups

Tour of Green House Rooms (Olivia) - 15 min. x 2

  • Walk through our 4 main rooms: Green House, the video room, the conference room, and the podcast room
  • Throughout the tour, be sure to ask if anybody has any questions frequently
  • Green House
    • Trivia Question: When was Green House formally founded?
      • Fall 2022
    • This is the room we use for most team collaboration
    • Here we work on client tasks and have regular meeting together in the back to review strategy and get the work done 
  • Video room
    • Trivia Question: What is the most popular platform for video marketing?
        • YouTube: 90% usage
        • Facebook: 70% usage
    • We use this room to produce videos
    • We have a completely soundproof box that’s a little too quite (have some students hop in there to hear how they can hear themselves thinking)

  • Conference room
    • Here, we meet on a regular basis to discuss updates to the company and receive regular trainings

    • We use this room to record episodes of our podcast, The Green Room
    • We can also use this room for observing focus groups on the other side of the mirror

    • Hands on experience working with real clients

  • Pass out the Fertilizer Package sheet
  • Talk about our starter package for clients that don’t have a digital online presence yet, the Fertilizer Package

      • Give an overview of SEO
        • What does SEO stand for?
        • Talk keyword strategies and how that helps with localized SEO efforts

        • What is the primary goal of online reputation management?

        • Talk about how we use the social and paid media audits to convert clients to ongoing custom agreements that also include:

  • Client sourcing
    • Gary Johnson’s sales team sources clients for us as part of credit for their course
    • We are building an inbound marketing funnel
    • We rely on our industry experts to establish connections with local agencies as partnerships
    • We have an advisory board with connections
    • We have a PRIZ - the king of networking
  • Team structure
    • We currently have 3 teams with the potential to grow to more very soon
    • Each team has as many as 6 active clients at at time
  • Green House goals & accomplishments
    • Revenue goal this year was $125K, we have surpassed almost $200K (just $75K last year)
    • We have received $76,000 in donations from local businesses
    • We’ve helped more than 50 clients this year
    • We have helped 10+ students land jobs in industry prior to graduation
