- In Slides Select + New
- Go down to Google Slides
- Select the > next to slides.
- Select From a Template.
- Find the “TEMPLATE Kickoff Meeting 2024” side deck
- The doc will be added to the client folder to edit.
- Prepare slide deck for client. Go through the slide deck and prepare the necessary information. Make sure to look at the presentation notes.
Put together slide deck & notes and share with your team. By entering the meeting with a better understanding of the client, you should feel better prepared to lead the conversation and create what we and the client would consider a successful Kickoff Meeting.
Do your research before the call! Some research should include:
- Review the info from the sales deck.
- Review the client's website to understand their industry and business.
- Review the client's social media. What platforms are they on? Are they active?
- Who do you think their target audience is?
- Look for potential competitors. What do they do differently than the competition? What is their Unique Selling Proposition (USP)?
- Review any notes from the sales team, or handoff call, that may be valuable information to bring to the Kickoff Meeting.
TIP: Doing your own research is a really good way to show the client that you care about their project. If you can show up and they can tell you did the research it helps build trust. Part of a successful Kickoff meeting is gaining a better understanding of the client's needs and how our team can address them. To complete this task, you should research aspects of the client's business beforehand, so you know what types of questions to ask during the meeting.
