How to create a Google Ads report in Looker Studio for clients with Google Ads.
1. Set up Looker Studio
- Using your team account, sign into Looker
- Click on "Templates" on the left side banner
- Filter Category by "Google Ads" and select the template you like most
2. Connect to client's Google Ads
- Click "Use my own data" on the top right of the template
- Select the client's account name
- Click "Add"
3. Edit dashboard
- Leave the template (click on the Looker icon) and re-select it
- Click on "Edit" on the top right of the template
- Change template colors to match client's colors and branding
- Delete the box with the name of the client on the top
- If you want, adjust date range (28 days default)
- To adjust charts, select the chart and then adjust specifications under the "Setup" section in the "Chart" box
- Note: leave Date setting on "Auto"
- To change the style, select the chart and then adjust specifications under the "Style" section in the "Chart" box (located on the right)
4. Add pages (if desired)
- To add another page, select "Page" (top bar) > "New page"
5. Manage multiple pages (if new page is added)
- Open the "Properties" window on the right of the screen
- With multiple pages created, select "Page" (top bar) > "Manage pages"
- Here you can rename, duplicate, and reorder pages
6. Customize pages (if new page is added)
- Select the applicable page in the "Report Pages" window
- Select "Add a chart" on the top bar
- Select the chart or graph and customize as necessary
