How to run the Google Ads calculator

How to use the Google Ads calculator.

Here is a quick walk through of how to use the Paid Media Calculator Tool

Before you start, you need to know several things from the client. First, what is the average value of the goods or services they sell? Next what is the rough percentage of deals they close from all people interested in their product? Look at the sales stage valuation tool for an example of what I am talking about.

Begin by making a copy of the TEMPLATE | PPC Audit Sheet in the Paid Templates folder.

Determine 3-5 competitors (At least two competitors have to be running ads)

Put your client into Spyfu. If they don’t have any PPC data that is fine. Put the competitors that did have data. Copy the information from the PPC Research Tab and Competitors tab. See screenshot below.

Scroll down on this page and copy the information in this screenshot.

Paste this information into the “Competition” Tab on the PPC Audit sheet.

Always have your client be the top spot! Even if they have no data, Just do it as tabs.

Next you will be pulling the Paid Keywords from ahrefs.

Put the domain of the client and competitors into the site explorer and click on the paid keywords section on the left bar.

Export the keywords for the client and competitors if they have any data. We NEED keyword data for someone. If no one is running any paid ads, we can use the SEO keyword research to look for opportunities.

Next you need to find at least 35 Keywords to put into the top opportunities. You will evaluate list of keywords you have and look for a low difficulty keywords with higher volume (More than 100 clicks a month) and an affordable cost per click (going to depend on the value of products/services that clients sells)

Once you have your keywords selected, you will copy them and paste them into the “KW Data” tab in the TGH Google ads ROI / ROAS Calculator Google sheet.

Once you have your keyword data into the calculator, you need to select the Industry on the CPA Calc tab.

If you don’t see a good industry option for your client you can put customer metrics by selecting OTHER.

The Final step of the Calculator process is to fill out the Sales Valuation Tool.

Once you have done this you will build out the presentation.

Start by Creating a presentation from the template gallery [Client] | Paid Audit | Template.
