How to set up email templates in Outlook

Tired of typing emails for the same purpose? Make a template to speed up the process!

Instructions

1. Open the Outlook app, and at the very top bar, click Tools > Get add ons. Search for "TemplateManager365" and click "Get it now."

2. In the Outlook app, create a new email.

3. Paste your email into the body of the email. 

Note: Text inside the subject line will not be saved. Paste the subject line into the body.

4. Format text to look professional and consistent. I like to remove all formatting on the text.

5. Click the three dots and find "My Templates."

6. Click "+ Template."

Email7. Give your template a title and then copy and paste the text you just formatted into the space below the title.

8. To use this template in the future, you will just create a new email. Click "My Templates" and then click the template you would like to use. It should simply appear in the email you are editing.

Note: Make sure to add your signature before sending the email. Your signature will not be in the template.

1. Phone interview

Subject: Invitation for Phone Interview: Digital Marketing Specialist Position at Green House

Good morning [Name],
 
Thank you for your interest in the Digital Marketing Specialist position at Green House Sales and Marketing.
 
We have reviewed your application and are impressed with your qualifications. We would like to invite you for a brief phone interview to learn more about you and discuss your potential fit with our team.
 
Please use the scheduling link in my signature below to select a convenient time for a 15-minute phone call. If none of the provided times work for you, please let me know, and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

3. Welcome to Green House

Hello [Name]!

We're thrilled for you to join Green House on [Month Day, Year]! We hope you enjoy the experience, and we look forward to getting to know you more.

Please complete these tasks before your first day at Green House:

  • You will soon be added to our onboarding canvas course. It should appear in your UVU canvas. Module 0 needs to be complete before your first day. You will continue the succeeding modules on your first day in Green House. Email me if you run into any questions.
  • Although [Date] is your official start date, you have the flexibility to begin on a different day if Mondays don’t align with your availability. You’ll submit your schedule in the Canvas course, but please reply with the specific day and time you plan to be at Green House for your first shift. Keep in mind that each shift must be at least three hours long!

4. Hiring rejection (Send ONLY to those who came in for an in-person interview but were not hired at the end of the hiring period).
