      How to upload needed photos to GBP

      Uploading photos to GBP for reputation management.

      There are 5 types of photos that are important to have on a business profile:

      1. A logo of the company (If they don't have one, tell them we can make some samples!)
      2. A picture of the outside of the office/building (If applicable. If they work from home and don't want to showcase their house, we can find other solutions. If they are a mobile service, show a picture of the car)
      3. A picture of the inside of the building (The office space, or where people may interact with them. A locksmith could show their equipment. An event planner can showcase different venues)
      4. A work sample (ex - a cleaning company can show a before/after picture. A waterslide rental can show people playing on it, a real estate agent next to a sold house, etc...)
      5. A profile picture of the employee, or team members (something that gives a customer of who they will be working with. If there are multiple employees, like a therapy clinic, make sure to get pictures of everyone)

      Look at the users Google Business Profile (GBP). Do they photos they have check each of those boxes? If they do, try to find additional photos on their website or social media that we can add to the profile to help add more content and visuals for potential customers.

      If they are missing relevant photos, see if they have photos on their website or social media that we can save and upload on the profile. If you can't find any there, reach out to the client and ask for the photos we are looking for. Here is an example email:

      Good Afternoon [Client],

      Part of our optimization service includes adding photos that Google considers relevant to the business. It looks like you have a lot of great photos on your Google Profile already, but one thing that would help you stand out more is if you have a picture of you, or some of your team members, so potential clients get a feel of who they would be working with. If you have any pictures like that, as well as ANY additional pictures you want to showcase to clients, please send them our way and we will get them uploaded! I am attaching a sample checklist of photos Google usually looks for so you can see what we are trying to accomplish. Thank you!

       

      When the client has at least the 5 types of photos mentioned above on their profile, you can consider this task complete

      *If there is a unique circumstance for the client, like working from home & not wanting pictures of their house online, find an alternative solution, or double down on the other areas.
      *If the client already had the 5 types of photos uploaded, add 3 additional photos related to the business to the profile to complete this task. These can be pulled from their website or social media.
