How to perform the social media audit.
Add the social media audit to the client folder
- Go to the folder on Google Drive where you would like to house the document
- Select + New
- Select the arrow next Google Sheets
- Select From a template
- Select Social Media Audit Template
- A copy of the template will be automatically added to the client folder, and you can begin the audit
Before you start
- Review Client CORE MESSAGING DOC (should be in the client folder.) Check out this KB article if you need more context. How to create a core messaging doc
- PM will assign 2 team members to complete the social media audit.
- Team members must collaborate on Part 3 (Strategy & Plan)
- Team member assigned to complete the audit will copy the social media report template and create it for new client.

- Part 1 - Brand Audit (team member 1)
- Part 2 - Competitive Analysis (team member 2)
- Part 3 - Strategy & Plan (team members 1 + 2)
- Make sure you both are using the Checklist and References tab within the audit.
Part 1 - Brand Audit
1. Review platforms - Which platforms are they currently using? What is their brand doing well and what needs fixed?
2. Review content - What content are they currently putting out there on social? Is the audience engaging with it?
3. Brand audit - Identify the current engagement rate of the platforms they're currently using. Is it good? Are their other platforms that they should consider?
4. Who is their Target Audience? Are they on the right platforms to reach their target audience?

Part 2 - Competitor Analysis
1. Find competitors and complete analysis - Select three competitors (ASK CLIENT) and run basic social audits on them. What are they doing really well that the client is not?
2. Find gap and positioning opportunities (When you are reviewing content take note of content examples (links to content in Notes Section) from competitors that you think they are doing well & your client could incorporate.)
Part 3 - Strategy & Plan
1. Develop a brand voice, identity, purpose, and industry hashtags - ASK CLIENT IF THEY HAVE A STYLE GUIDE OR BRAND GUIDELINES FIRST. What does their brand represent?
2. Content, calendar, and metrics planned
